Cavendish

Home of one of Canada's most beloved women, and fictional home of the character that brought her fame, Cavendish is a quaint little escape on the north side of Prince Edward Island. With only a short amount of time in the Province, it was well worth the hours that I spent walking around this scenic piece of Canadian literary history.

Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there? ~ Anne, in Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables

I think I would have married this girl!

The photos

The photos are taken from the area around the Anne of Green Gables house and grounds. I never did make it into Cavendish proper. The little walking paths and quiet places were much more my pace.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Rights

I am not a professional photographer, and as such have no expectation that my work will be valued by anyone other than me. If you do value it enough to take a copy, send me a note and tell me. Unless you are using it to fund your illicit arms dealing program, or use as the poster-child for a venereal disease, I'm likely to be happy to let you have it for free. More over, I'm thrilled to have someone compliment my work. A little praise goes a long way.
